Adding a Gameport Driver for Window 95/98
NOTE: Step I:
  1. In Windows 95, select START, select SETTINGS, and select CONTROL PANEL.
  2. If you see a JOYSTICK icon then:
  3. If you DON’T see a JOYSTICK Icon, go to Step III
Step IIa: (CALIBRATION)
  1. Double Click on JOYSTICK icon
  2. Make sure CURRENT JOYSTICK is set to JOYSTICK1
  3. JOYSTICK CONFIGURATION GROUP:
  4. Select CALIBRATE and follow the on-screen instructions
  5. When done calibrating Select TEST and make sure the joystick and footpedals work correctly.
  6. When done:
  7. You are ready to use the ONLINE ASSESSMENT program
Step IIb: (CALIBRATION)
  1. Double Click on GAME CONTROLLERS icon
  2. If you don’d see "2-axis, 2-button joystick" then:
  3. Select PROPERTIES
  4. Make sure RUDDER/PEDALS is checked
  5. Select CALIBRATE and follow the on-screen instructions
  6. When done calibrating Select the TEST tab and make sure the joystick and footpedals work correctly.
  7. When done:
  8. You are ready to use the ONLINE ASSESSMENT program
Step III: (ADDING GAMEPORT JOYSTICK)
  1. Double Click on ADD NEW HARDWARE
  2. Select NEXT
  3. Select NO then select NEXT.(you DON’T want Windows to auto-detect)
  4. Scroll down the HARDWARE TYPES list and double click on SOUND, VIDEO, AND GAME CONTROLLERS
  5. In the MANUFACTURERS list, scroll down and select MICROSOFT
  6. In the MODELS list, double click on GAMEPORT JOYSTICK
  7. Select NEXT (if you get the ‘file is older then current.." message, select "keep this file..")
  8. Select FINISH (DON’T start the CONFLICT TROUBLESHOOTER)
  9. If you are asked if you want to restart your system select YES
  10. Go to Step I
