Adding a Gameport Driver to Window NT 4

NOTE:

Step I:
1. In Windows NT, select START, select SETTINGS, and select CONTROL PANEL.
2. If you see a JOYSTICK Icon, go to Step IV.
3. If you DON’T see a JOYSTICK Icon, go to Step III

Step II: (CALIBRATION)
1. Make sure you are in the CONTROL PANEL window
2. Double Click on JOYSTICK icon
3. Make sure CURRENT JOYSTICK is set to JOYSTICK1
4. JOYSTICK CONFIGURATION GROUP:

5. Select CALIBRATE and follow the on-screen instructions
6. When done calibrating Select TEST and make sure the joystick and footpedals work correctly.
7. When done: 8. You are ready to use the ONLINE ASSESSMENT program

Step III: (ADDING GAMEPORT JOYSTICK)
1. Make sure you are in the CONTROL PANEL window
2. Double Click on MULTIMEDIA icon
3. Select the DEVICE tab
4. Select the ADD button
5. Select UNLISTED OR UPDATED DRIVER
6. Select BROWSE, insert the JOBS INSTALL DISK and select the drive where the disk is in.
7. Select OK
8. Select ANALOG JOYSTICK DRIVER
9. Select OK
10. If you are asked to use the NEW or CURRENT driver, select NEW
11. The MICROSOFT JOYSTICK CONFIGURATION windows appears
12. Make sure only the following is set:

13. Select OK
14. When you are asked if you want to restart your system select RESTART NOW
15. Go to Step II

Step IV: (REMOVING OLD JOYSTICK DRIVER)
1. Double Click on MULTIMEDIA Icon
2. Select the DEVICE tab
3. Select ADD
4. Select UNLISTED OR UPDATED DRIVERS and then OK
5. Enter X:\drvlib\multimed\joystick\x86\ and then OK
NOTE: X: Represents your CD drive.
6. Select ANALOG JOYSTICK DRIVER
7. REBOOT Windows NT by selecting START, selecting SHUTDOWN, and selecting RESTART
8. Install SERVICE PACK 4 OR HIGHER to fix the joystick driver.
9. REBOOT Windows NT by selecting START, selecting SHUTDOWN, and selecting RESTART
10. Go to Step III
